By Kim of Breton Bleu Studio
Our cute little yellow house suffers from a dearth of wall space which is a problem for a painter. My studio suffers the most from this because of its banks of casement windows. Yesterday I solved the problem with some well-placed nails.
Here is what I came up with for drying paintings and showcasing what I've been working on. Everything needs to stay away from my nearly-two-year-old Lucy's reach, too, and that is a lot of my motivation. This photo makes me smile because you can see all hers toys just below the paintings.
On the other side of the room is my desk with my small desktop easel. Lately I've been working on small paintings so I've been at my desk. My large studio easel can just be seen on the left side of this photo holding a large pastel I've not yet completed. With all these windows, the room gets great light. It's not that conducive for the cold winter so I'm delighted for spring! It's so nice to be comfortable in my studio.
