If you enjoy pattern, color, and art, come to the Lowell Quilt Festival August 6-9.
- Images 2009: over 150 quilts, at the Tsongas Arena.
- Quiltscapes, an international juried exhibit of work inspired by the landscape, at the Whistler Gallery. Come on Friday from noon to 2 and enjoy high tea.
- A Sense of Balance, harmony in traditional quilts, at the Boot Cotton Mills
- Free Gallery Talks at 2pm daily at the New England Quilt Museum.
- What Followed Me Home: Antique Quilts, Fabrics, and Tools, at the newly reopened American Textile History Museum. Special guided tours on August 6 .
- Illusions in Fiber at the Loading Dock Gallery, July 29-August23, reception Friday August 7, 6-9 PM.
- Fabrication of Imagination, featuring cutting edge work in cloth, copper and glass, at the ALL Gallery August 1-30.

You can meet the artists at the ALL Gallery and at the Whistler on Saturday, August 8, from 2-4. Enjoy their work plus a little wine. Come home with new ideas. Buy local. Buy art. Spend a day in Lowell.
