I did it the old-fashioned way, with no pattern. I took measurements, made a muslin pattern, and fitted it from there. Fitting for little girls is such a breeze because they haven't hit "dangerous curves"-ville yet. We picked out the fabric together and we both liked it so much that I got some extra to make something pretty for myself. All told, she loved it, and it was a happy, happy day!
It's beautiful. How great that you guys picked the fabric together. I hope you have many good future sewing memories together.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Although she seems to have more enthusiasm for needle felting, a craft I haven't even tried yet...maybe she can teach me that :)
