Boston Public

By Kerry of K Hawkins Photo

Yesterday, I took a a trip into Boston for a haircut and to photograph. I visited the Boston Public Library. I can't believe I had never been to the original building with it beautiful courtyard. It was a oasis in the city. I also, was able to see the Greetings from Boston and the Vintage Travel Poster exhibit. The posters were very colorful and fun to look at. I even learned a few things about the vacation spots represented. If you are in Boston these posters are worth a look.

The photograph of the lamp has a sentimental meaning for me. For one of my first photography classes in college I had photographed the lamp but, in black and white. I developed the print myself. I remember all the hours spent in the darkroom.

  1. Did you go in the entrance opposite the green space (Not the main entrance)? It's just stunning. Go back!!
