I recently participated in Boston's annual fine craft show,
CRAFTBOSTON. This was my first time doing a "big" show like this one and it required many hours of preparations. It was difficult to guess how much work I would need or exactly how the new hard wall booth was going to come together, but in the end everything worked out just fine.

The show was successful on many fronts. It was wonderful exposure and I was proud to show alongside many other artists that I admire. The director of the Fuller Craft Museum bought a piece of mine for her own collection and asked me to join the Museum Store!! For most vendors there was a good deal of grumbling about the economy and how it effected low sales this year. I have to admit that I too expected more sales, but I still made a modest profit. It seems there were many lookers and not many buyers but overall it was still a wonderful show to be a part of and I am sure that I will participate in next year's CRAFTBOSTON.
What a wonderful debut into the world of high end craft shows! Congratulations Kirsten!
