So terrariums seem to be gaining popularity and popping up everywhere! Fellow BHer Amy of Bumble Belly Designs has a fantastic post on her blog bumblebelly.blogspot.com about her families terrarium project and this got me thinking……… what other new products can I add to my ever-expanding summer retail show line? To date I will be carrying ceramics, resin wall plaques, porcelain jewelry and now desktop terrariums! Here’s what I did:
First I made a village of adorable porcelain houses. Some are bungalows, some skyscrapers and an old barn thrown in for good measure – they are between ½ and 1 ½ inches high and look like something you might want to pop into your mouth!
Next I gathered the ingredients….some adorable glass oval jars, marble chips, activated charcoal pellets and of course some moss (after going everywhere trying to buy it and having no luck I finally gave up and stole it from the woods in my town)
Finally I put it all together and …tada! A desktop terrarium. What do you think? What should I sell them for? I hope they live!
Brooke, what a great idea! I'll be looking at your Etsy store for these!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE them!!! I wouldn't be surprised if people ask to buy more of the little houses, so I would have extras on hand. I love to put sphagnum moss in my house plants so I'm not looking at the dirt and a little house nestled in there would make it magical! Brilliant, Brooke :)
ReplyDeleteThat is AWESOME Brooke!!!
